sick style master!
rest in peace..
The Skate All Cities camp is proud to announce our latest board collaboration with none other than toy & graphic designer/skateboarder David Flores. This board collaboration has been long overdue for quite some time now. I remember hitting David up around October 09 to get some shit crackin’ for this. Four months later after going through a different board manufacturer and a number of complications we finally have the finished product…voi”dafuck”la. Our boards have been newly reconstructed with a thicker concave and harder wood for thicker pop. So if you liked our past boards then you’re going to like the feel on these ones. We are no longer making the 7.625 x 31.25’s anymore since the majority of riders are skating larger boards. They are currently available in 4 different colorways and 3 different sizes through : Online Shop.

RECAP: ASYLM x RUETS “Sources of Inspiration & Damnation” @ TRADITION
We stopped by the TRADITION shop in Westlake Village this past weekend to show our support for Los Angeles based graffiti artists RUETS & ASYLM’s show entitled “Sources of Inspiration & Damnation“. The turn out was amazing with people coming from up and down the California coast. There were even a few heads (or 1 really) that came all the down from San Diego to check it out. That’s a long 4 hour drive, but I’m sure that the “FREE BEER” that was being offered at the end of the road made it just that much sweeter.

The graffiti wall
No one can say the backyard wall at the Spencers’ Pasadena home is an example of green living. But it is very SoCal.
The wall is painted with graffiti in bright colors and symbols. On purpose. With the owner’s permission.
It was Kristina Urbana Spencer’s idea to have it done. Through an electrician, she found graffiti artists Arco and Ruets in Los Angeles and asked them to come out to her home to do it. She had previously hired Arco to do some paintings for her home.
“Graffiti is a little naughty and I kind of like that naughty flair in my backyard,” Spencer said.
Most graffiti art in residential neighborhoods is unwelcome. But Spencer said she respects the artists and the artistic medium.
“I just wanted something different,” she said. “I want to show people what beautiful graffiti looks like.”
She asked the artists to tell the story of the family’s life, and she couldn’t be more pleased with the results.
There are Olympic rings for Jeff Spencer, who was an Olympian; he participated in a cycling event in the 1972 Munich Olympics. A chiropractor by trade, Jeff Spencer practices hot glass artistry and also works with elite athletes in motocross, an additional symbol added to the wall art.
The Colombian flag is included for their adopted daughter Kin, 11. Also written there is “La Familia por Siempre,” which means “family forever.”
“It just makes me happy because it’s so colorful and it’s so beautiful and it tells the story of our lives,” Spencer said. “Our wall is a personal wall of fame.”
